Typhoon Ragasa (Nando) slams the Northern Philippine Islands, now heading for Hong Kong.

Overview
Tropical storm Ragasa, known as Nando in the Phillipines, formed in the early morning hours of Friday, Sept 19th, roughly 750 km east-northeast of the central Phillipines. The system has steadily intesnified since then. By 9:00 Saturday, Ragasa had intesnified into a typhoon with sustained winds of 120km/h, and just 28 hours later, early Sunday afternoon, Typhoon Ragasa intensified into a raging T6 typhoon, with sustained winds of 222km/h, and gusts of 269km/h. But it didn’t stop there, as Sunday night Ragasa peaked as a T7 super typhoon, with sustained winds of 269km/h, with gusts of 324km/h,
Ragasa slammed the northern Philippine Islands with wind gusts as high as 295km/h, leaving at least one dead, and several more injured. The storm caused widespread destruction and flooding over the exposed and low-lying beaches.
